About three years ago when The Queen was a two year old toddler, I happened upon a woman that sewed custom boutique, Asian-inspired clothing for children. The name of the shop is Fly Away Home Clothing Boutique. Not only is Jen the creative seamstress behind the clothing designs, but also an adoptive Mama to two beautiful daughters from China.
It all started for me with with this dress:
This dress is actually a size 2T. My girls have been wearing it for 3 years. Yes, it was much longer on them at one time. I love, love, love the Michael Miller China Children print of the skirt. My girls love the comfortable feel of the dress. The Queen is all into comfortable, cotton knit fabrics. The Princess is all into “pretty.” Jen combines the two together in a unique fusion. Many of the outfits have Asian themed fabrics.
For a while I had lost the link to her website. I happened upon her new website recently. I am glad that I did!
Jen has turning her hobby of sewing into a nice little business. She designs and creates beautiful ensembles and her daughters model the outfits. She also does embroidery designs.
Here are my girls modeling their “sisters” shirts. These shirts are made using a high quality t-shirt. The cotton knit is thick and very soft (remember The Queen won’t wear it unless it is soft and comfy).
Go to Fly Away Home Clothing Boutique and check out all of Jen’s beautiful ensembles (not to mention her cute kiddos). She makes dresses, skirts, embroidered tees, and Capri sets. You can also check out her photography and coffee shop. Rumor has it that once Jen reaches 100 followers on her blog, she will have a giveaway! Wouldn’t it be nice to have a chance of winning one of her beautiful designs?
